OSP Library Rules for Book Issue & Return

Eligibility to Borrow:

  • All students from Class 1 to 12 are eligible to borrow books.
  • Playway and Kindergarten students may use books only within the library under supervision.

Borrowing Limits:

  • Students of Class 1 to 5: 1 book at a time for 7 days
  • Students of Class 6 to 8: 2 books at a time for 10 days
  • Students of Class 9 to 12: 2 books at a time for 14 days
  • Teachers and staff: Up to 5 books for 30 days

Issuing Process:

  • Students must bring their Library Card to borrow a book.
  • Library staff will record the book title, issue date, and due date in the system or register.
  • Books must be handled with care - no writing, tearing, or folding pages.

Returning Books:

  • Books must be returned on or before the due date.
  • Overdue books will incur a fine of ₹10 per day.
  • If a book is lost or damaged, the borrower must replace it or pay the full cost of the book.
